See Metal Guru in action
A connected workflow from yard to accounts.
Getting started
Set up your company details, users, sites and core preferences before entering live transactions. Check that the materials you trade and the people who will use Metal Guru are ready before your first weighbridge ticket.
QuickBooks Online connection
Connect the correct QuickBooks Online company, then confirm that suppliers, customers, accounts, classes and products are available. If a transaction does not sync, check its sync status and the mapping shown in Metal Guru before trying again.
Suppliers and ID checks
Create or select a supplier and complete the required contact, payment and identification details. Use ID Review to record checks and keep supporting compliance information with the supplier record.
Weighbridge tickets
Enter the ticket number, supplier, vehicle, gross weight and tare weight. Metal Guru calculates the net weight; review the material, quantity and price before saving the ticket.
Materials and pricing
Maintain your material list and QuickBooks mappings, refresh current market reference prices and review recommended buy prices. Supplier pricing tiers, contract rates and transaction-level overrides can be used where agreed.
Purchases and sales
Use the completed weighbridge and party details to record purchases or sales. Confirm the material, weight, price and transaction number, then check that the supported accounting transaction has synced to QuickBooks.
Digital Waste Tracking / DEFRA
Complete the waste classification and movement details required for the transaction. Review the Digital Waste Tracking preview, correct any highlighted information and submit only when the record is complete.
